Activity 4. Define history in your words. Do it in not less than 5 sentences and enumerate the roles of a
historian.
In my own words, history is the study of the past. It is the story of our journey, documenting the
events, ideas, cultures, and achievements that have shaped the world we live in today. History
allows us to explore the triumphs and challenges, the innovations and setbacks, and the diverse
tapestry of human experiences across different time periods and regions. It serves as a vital tool
for understanding our roots, learning from our predecessors, and navigating the complexities of
the present. Through the study of history, we gain insights into the patterns and forces that have
influenced societies, helping us make sense of the continuous flow of time and contributing to a
broader comprehension of the human condition.
