 Coursework 1 in Week 7
Coursework 1 will test three skills: listening, reading and
writing.
Listening texts cover family members, their names, ages,
jobs and phone numbers.
Part A is multiple choice
Part B involves writing down some numbers.
Reading also covers family members, names, age, jobs
and place of work.
Part A involves recognising what tone is appropriate for a
few very common characters.
Part B involves matching English words and pictures
with the appropriate characters.

Beginners
1. Most of the questions in Coursework 1 are multiple
choice. So your marks will depend on choosing the
correct answer.

2. There are a few questions where you will have to write

numbers, names and nationality. These will not involve
phrases or sentences and you will be marked on the
accuracy of the characters.

Helpful advice: Don’t leave these questions blank.

Always attempt an answer. In this way, we can give you
marks for effort.
