INTRODUCTION

History

Maja Blanca, the base of this dessert, has Spanish

origins. It is influenced by the traditional Spanish holiday dessert
called “manjar Blanco,” which translates to white delicacy. When
the Spaniards colonized the Philippines, they introduced various
culinary influences, and over time, local adaptations led to the
creation of Maja blanch. Ube, or purple yam, is a staple in
Filipino cuisine and has been used in various traditional dishes.
Its vibrant purple color and distinct flavor made it a popular
ingredient in desserts. Ube is native to the Philippines and holds
cultural significance in Filipino cooking. Maja de Ube has since
become a popular dessert in Filipino households and is often
served during special occasions, celebrations, and family
gatherings. Its rich history reflects the cultural amalgamation that
characterizes Filipino cuisine, combining influences from both
indigenous practices and colonial legacies. Hand massage has a
rich history rooted in ancient cultures. It’s been practiced in
various forms for centuries, with evidence of hand massage
techniques found in Chinese, Egyptian, and Indian traditions.
These cultures recognized the therapeutic benefits, promoting
relaxation and overall well-being. Over time, hand massage
evolved and integrated into different healing practices,
contributing to its widespread use today for stress relief and
improved circulation.
