A) RESPONSIBILITIES:
Con. G.M Sales: Tour plan for all marketing activities of South, North &
Export Region.
Con. Manager (S&M): Senior most Manager of particular area & product.

B) DEFINITION

C) WORK INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Tour Plan of Marketing department & its compliance:
a) Con. Sr. Manager (S&M) would establish annual tour plan for respective Marketing &
Sales Officer / executives / Managers, for regular outstation visits.
b) The purpose of the tour is to conduct market survey and to ensure the 100%
compliance of Market Intelligence with reference to resolve the customer issues as per
company policies and monitor & analyze sales activities of competitors, to explore new
markets opportunities including approval of new Distributor/ Contractor / Dealer, for
follow-up of sales activities and to visit institutional and government agencies in order
to establish professional relationship with the dealers / customers of the assigned
territory / ies. Also to activate the inactive dealers’/ sub dealers.
c) “Tour Plan of Marketing Department” is recorded on “IIL-F-03-06-01 and to be kept by
Con. Sr. Manager (S&M) for 01 years standings. It is to be issued with the budget of
every financial year, however it can be revised, whenever needed.
d) The compliance of these visits to be tracked via compliance report.
e) The Marketing representative would submit the status / findings of the visit on the
“Compliance of Tour Plan” on IIL-F-03-06-02 within 07 working days after the visit.
f) Tours are conducted based on the analysis of the sales in each area by each
distributor over the previous year and based both on volume and receivable status.
g) T our Plan made based on visits to all dealers as per business requirement.
a. All dealers must be visited at least annually by General Manager Sales,
Quarterly by Sr. Manager (S&M) and Twice a month by Manager Sales / Dy.
Mgr. Sales.
b. Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager to visit commercial & Industrial
customers on daily basis for achievement of targets, payment follow up and
market feed back.
Visa requisition form should be send to admin department through Con. GM (S&M).

Travel Requisition: Concerned Manager must raise a travel requisition to admin dept. at
least a week before for domestic travel and 20 days before the international travel in order
to facilitate the travel, visa, ticket , hotel, advance arrangements as per the entitlement.
For any special rate approvals a prior approvals are required from the departmental head.
