Activity (15 mins.)
This is an interactive strategy to
elicit learner’s prior learning
experience. It serves as a
springboard for new learning. It
illustrates the principle that learning
starts where the learners are.
Carefully structured activities such
as individual or group reflective
exercises, group discussion, self-or
group assessment, dyadic or triadic
interactions, puzzles, simulations or
role-play, cybernetics exercise,
gallery walk and the like may be
created. Clear instructions should be
considered in this part of the lesson.
Analysis (10 mins.)
Essential questions are included to
serve as a guide for the teacher in
clarifying key understandings about
the topic at hand. Critical points are
organized to structure the
discussions allowing the learners to
maximize interactions and sharing of
ideas and opinions about expected
issues. Affective questions are
included to elicit the feelings of the
learners about the activity or the
topic. The last questions or points
taken should lead the learners to
understand the new concepts or
skills that are to be presented in the
next part of the lesson.
Abstraction (20 mins.)
This outlines the key concepts,
important skills that should be
enhanced, and the proper attitude
that should be emphasized. This is
organized as a lecturette that
summarizes the learning
emphasized from the activity,
analysis and new inputs in this part
of the lesson.

Given some guide questions, the students will choose
a partner and answer the guide questions after watching
the video clips.
The teacher applies a range of teaching strategies to develop
critical and creative thinking, as well as other higher-order
skills.(3)
The teacher will ask the following questions to students
about the activity.
1. ) What have you learned from the videos shown?
2. ) What are the sources of information you know?
3. ) Where did you get sources of information?
4. ) How important are people as sources of
information?
5. ) What are the positive and negative effects of
media on an individual or society?
6.) How did you come up with your answers?
The teacher manages learner behavior constructively by
applying positive and non-violent discipline to ensure learning-
focused environments.(5
The teacher will present first the corresponding
meanings of people and media. And, for better
understanding of the lesson, he/she will discuss the
difference between ‘people media’ and ‘people in
media’. Afterwards, the teacher will also discuss the
characteristics of people in media.
“Based on the dictionary definition, we may say that
the phrase, ‘people media’ consists of men, women, even
children that widely influence the people by reaching
them through different means. They are the sources of
information, and they are responsible in disseminating
those information.

Application (5 mins.)
This part is structured to ensure the
commitment of the learners to do
something to apply their new
learning in their own environment.

Thus, one positive effect of media is the access to varied
information through social media. You can do your great
way to express your ideas, feelings, and emotions
through media.
There are also several negative effects of media. One is
in advertising. The society is bombarded with a lot of
information that would be harmful and would trigger
psychological and mental problems especially to the
youth.
The teacher plans, manages and implements
developmentally sequenced teaching and learning processes
to meet curriculum requirements and varied teaching
contexts.(7)
The class will do an activity entitled, “Paint Me A
Picture”. They will be divided into five (5) groups. Each
group will choose a facilitator/leader.
Each group will pick out a paper with a scenario that
they shall portray. Once, they have received the paper,
they will be given three (3) minutes to brainstorm on
how to portray or act out their assigned scenario.
The scenarios are as follows:
1. ) A leader or a president is giving a speech.
2. ) A number of students are talking in the canteen.
3. ) A meeting of teachers
4. ) A person is posting an information in the
internet.
5. ) A child is glued on the television.
After brainstorming, the group will present it to the
class without any sound. Once the teacher says freeze,
the performers who were performing will pause just like
a picture or a painting. The teacher will then ask the class
what they have observed in the presentation. This will be
done until to the last group of performers.
After such activity, there will be a group assessment
and discussion on what has been shown by each group.
The class will discuss and assess each scenario that was
performed by group. The students can give out their
inputs.
