Activity 4: ‘’Be Careful !’’
Directions: Check the boxes only if it is the correct practices in
handling and disposing of sharps and correct response when sharps
injury happened.

1. If sharps need to be transported, it must be placed in a


puncture resistant lidded container.
2. Containers for used needles should be leaked proof.
3. Give verbal announcement when passing sharps.
4. Sharps should be properly placed so that they are out of
children’s reach.
5. If you sustain sharp injury, seek medical care immediately.
6. If sharp injury happened no need there is no need to
complete the accident/incident report.
7. Taking immediate action will lower the risk even further.
8. Reporting to the immediate supervisor is not necessary if
