Purpose
Materials
The basic instruments and materials needed for the experiment are:
Procedure
1. Firstly, put the object in a specific distance from the light source and record that
distance.
2. Put the screen of image formation in a specific distance from the light source.
3. Next, use one of the convex lenses in a distance by which the image of the object is
sharp on the screen. Record the distance by which the sharp image appeared.
4. Then, adjust the position of the convex lens to get a second position by which another
sharp image will occur. Record the second distance from the object.
5. Finally, calculate the focal length of the first convex lens.
6. Repeat the experiment with the second convex lens.
7. Repeat the experiment with the concave lens.
After doing calculation, then we could obtain the focal length of the lens
