fragrances
are created

Do you want to feel light and airy or

powerful and distinct? Do you dream of long
days on tropical beaches or late nights by
the fireside? Perfumery is the perfect blend
of science and artistic expression. It’s more
than just the act of combining scents; it’s
about creating experiences born from ideas,
feelings, and daydreams. Oftentimes,
cultural roots and trends in food, fashion,
nostalgia, and more are the inspiration for
new fragrances.

Top, middle and base notes Unique creations

By layering ingredients from the different olfactive families in specific
ways, perfumers can create distinct and complex scents. They start
from the bottom, constructing a strong foundation for the fragrance
with a base note, and then build upon that with middle and top notes.
When you smell a fragrance, you smell the top notes first, which
evaporate quickly to reveal the middle notes, which then evaporate to
reveal the base notes—allowing fragrance makers to craft a unique
sensory experience.
Each new fragrance represents a novel human experience and can exist
only in its specific formulation—altering the proportions of base, middle,
and top notes even slightly creates a completely different scent.
Fragrance creation is a true art form, and perfumers are constantly
innovating to deliver delight and enhance daily experiences.

Creating the
perfect scent

Perfumers spend long hours experimenting with ingredient combinations, and

these combinations are rarely just right on the first try. It can take dozens to
hundreds of iterations to hit the sweet spot—that perfect scent.
