Exploring/Emerging (E) - a level of practice in which the teacher leader relies on ongoing
assistance from more experienced colleagues for support, guidance, and survival. The
teacher leader is moving toward becoming more self-directed and independent in her/his

Summary of Strengths and areas for growth
Some of my strengths include understanding my students, curriculum, and strategies for
engaging them in learning. I am also able to work with my grade level team to use assessment
data to create our differentiated groups and pace out the curriculum. I also participate in our
school’s reading committee to try and align our reading curriculum with the Science of
Reading across the elementary grade levels. Some of my areas for growth are to continue
learning about best strategies for engaging students and finding ways to bring families and
the wider community into our grade level curriculum.
