Replacement of the breather
Gear boxes S5-680 and S6-680

The above mentioned gear boxes are now receiving, as per the following information, the application of a new
breather, of Nº 000 260 03 58 (ZF 0501 202 797), replacing that of Nº 000 264 04 89 (ZF 0732 612 001).

PROCEDURES

In case of an eventual intervention/repair in the gear boxes with series Nº inferior to those previously indicated,
mainly in case of oil leakage through the front and rear seals, proceed with the application of the new breather
(Nº 000 260 03 58), to replace that originally installed (Nº 000 264 04 89). Tighten it with the tightening torque
of 10Nm.

COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATION

• For the vehicles inside the warranty period, the execution of the service should be made without expenses to
the Client. In case of vehicles out of the warranty period, the politics of Scheduled Courtesy should be ob-
served. For reimbursement, send a Warranty Claim (S.G.) to the Factory, mentioning the number of this S.I.

• The previous breather, of Nº 000 264 04 89, must no longer be used. The parts eventually existing in stock
should be returned to the Factory, followed by a Warranty Claim (S.G.), in which the number of this S.I. should
be stated, in the field “Description of the Defect”.
