I.Rationale

Let the Gawad Parangal ignite the passion of young leaders ablaze the projects,
programs, and activities with creativity, innovativeness, courage, and inspiration. This
year’s Gawad Siklab highlighted the contribution of teachers and learners in helping the
basic education sector hurdle the challenges brought by the pandemic. The Gawad
Siklab is a testament to the Schools Division Office of Cotabato a commitment to nation-
building. We recognition for remarkable individuals, students, teachers, and school
organizations who went above and beyond what is expected of them amid a global health
crisis. With their unwavering sense of nationhood and service, you continue to affirm
DepEd’s thrust for an education anchored on social relevance and change.

In addition, the SDO- COTABATO awarding ceremony was an avenue to celebrate and
highlight initiatives, individuals, and schools with outstanding and extraordinary work
for the betterment of their respective communities.

Ang Gawad Siklab ay hindi lamang isang parangal, ito ay pagbibigay pugay sa mga
katangi-tanging proyekto na nagdulot ng positibong pagbabago sa ating lipunan.
Karapat dapat kayo na ipagmalaki sapagkat hindi naging hadlang ang isang pandemya
upang kayo ay makatulong at magbigay inspirasyon at pag-asa sa inyong kapwa tao.

III. OBJECTIVES

This project aims to:


a. promote awareness and socially responsible in the implementation Youth
Formation Unit PPA’s;

b. establish clear directions and milestones for the schools in dealing with the
programs and activities under Youth Formation Unit, and
c. review the programs, projects and its guidelines and process flow on the Youth
Formation Unit implementation that will be aligned to the new road map of
YFD Central Office.

IV. TYPE OF DELIVERY

Face-To-Face Presentation of Youth Formation Unit Skills and Styles, Discussion,


and question and answer. Presentation of Documents as basis of their points.

V. METHODOLOGY
To attain the objectives of the activity and to ensure experiential and collaborative
learning, the following methods or strategies shall be employed during the virtual
activity:
Power point and video clips presentation.

All participants shall strictly adhere to the COVID-19 Minimum Standards of Safe
Practice and Protocols such as body temperature scanning, prepositioning of foot bath,
wearing of face mask, social/physical distancing, proper handwashing and other
necessary health protocols prescribed by the Department of Health (DOH).

VII. EXPECTED OUTCOMES

At the end of the activity, participants are expected to:


 have a proper and well-organized delivery of programs and ensure that the
participants are able to grasp the information as delivered.
 captured the best practices presented by each municipality, and
 be more empowered in school especially the YFD PPA’s during new normal
education.

VIII. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

Attendance Sheets, Documentations and After Activity Report (AAR) are to be


submitted to the Office of the SDS and SGOD after the conduct of the activity. The
Division Monitoring Team shall evaluate and monitor the activity to identify practices
that need improvement and sustainability.
