After being advised of the identity of the interviewing
Agent and the nature of the interview, Wilhoit provided the following
information:

Events of January 6, 2021:

Wilhoit has been an MPD Officer for almost six years. On 01/06/2021,
Wilhoit was working with the Civil Disturbance Unit (CDU)-42. He is usually
a 4th District Patrol Officer. Wilhoit's unit was stationed at 10th Street
and Constitution Avenue, NW when they received a call to assist in
reinforcing the officers defending the United States Capitol.

Wilhoit and CDU-42 arrived at the West side of the Capitol and were
immediately surrounded. They attempted to reinforce a mountain bike
unit that was already there on the Lower West Terrace.

Video Review:

Wilhoit reviewed the police body camera video containing footage from
01/06/2021 at the United States Capitol. The subject of the video was
identified at Jacob Zerkle, DOB 06/24/1971. A copy of the video will be
placed in a lA attached to the case file.

Wilhoit explained this video was taken as he was moving from the West
Lawn in front of the Capitol to help establish a line to hold back the crowd
from entering the Capitol. Wilhoit explained that in the video he and
another officer approached a scene where a subject (later identified as
Zerkle) was fighting with two other police officers. Wilhoit did not know
who the other police officers were. Wilhoit approached the subject (Zerkle)

and grabbed his back pack. The subject (Zerkle) threw several punches at
Wilhoit. Wilhoit pushed the subject (Zerkle) away and then the subject
(Zerkle) charged Wilhoit, and rammed into Wilhoit as if he was trying to
tackle him. Wilhoit thought someone else from the crowd grabbed the subject
(Zerkle) and pulled him away.

Wilhoit remember the subject (Zerkle) and wondered if he was using drugs
because of the way he was trying to fight everyone. Wilhoit remembered the
subject (Zerkle) just wanted to fight with the police.

Wilhoit said he could identify the subject (Zerkle) if he saw him again
and he was willing to testify that the subject (Zerkle) assaulted him.
