E. NARRATIVE
On January 6, 2021, in response to the unfolding situation at the US Capitol, CDU 25 was authorized to
dawn hard gear over SOD Events air and directed to respond to the Capitol. Upon arrival at approximately
1600 hours, they were directed to move through a hostile crowd and form a line on the western terrace of the
Capitol. The platoon formed a line and joined an already formed CDU line located on the western terrace of
the Capitol. The platoon encountered a large riotous crowd that numbered in the thousands. A riot had been
declared and the members were actively under attack as the crowd had already breached the Capitol and
were in the process of being removed from the grounds. After joinging the line the members of the platoon
utilized Mechanical Force Level One in an attempt to push back the hostile and riotous crowd. The
individuals on which force was used rema ined in the crowd and avoid identification or apprehension. CCN#
21025555 . It should be noted that all this forced was used at the same location of the US Capitol Building.
