Young people must always be ready for working life.

The government should use methods to

prepare students for their future and teach them how to earn their income. Two of the main
ways could be apprentice schemes or visits from employers. But which one of them is more
practical?
Firstly, visits from employers are a great method to prepare young people for working life.
In some schools, there is one day a week when there are invited successful people, and they
talk about their worklife work life, how everything started and how it went. They come in
with presentations, in the end have a question-and -answer session and could also organise
a day to visit the employers employer’s company. Even though this might seem like a great
opportunity, this is not the most practical way to prepare young people for working life,
since it does not give them work experience.
Secondly, an apprentice scheme is actually a paid job where the employee learns and
gains valuable experience. For example, in some countries students can take a day off school
and go to work alone with their parents parents’ approval or with their fathers or mothers.
Schools call it ,,work experience” and students get to learn how to work like real adults. The
government could consider this the most efficient preparatory method for young people
because students should balance their academic studies with practical experience in a job.
In conclusion, even though visits from employers is still a good method to prepare young
people for working life, apprentice schemes offer students a real working experience and
way more opportunities.
