The Story of Sappy Seed

Reading Comprehension

A long time ago, a farmer ‘Zappy’ took a big bag of the seed to sell in the
market. Suddenly, one of the seed fell out of the bag and hopped onto
the ground. It’s name was ‘Sappy’. “I am scared.” said Sappy, the seed.
“I need to be safe under the soil.” Just then a buffalo, named ‘Yappy’
came and pushed Sappy under the ground. After sometime Sappy, the
seed shouted, “I am thirsty, I am thirsty, I need some water.” And just
then rain clouds came, ‘Tappy’ ‘Tappy’ ‘Tappy’ ……it started to rain.
All day it sat in the Sun and grew taller and taller. Soon, Sappy the
seed had its leaves…. and the seed became a plant and then that plant
became a booming tree with fruits and flowers.
Now, Sappy is a happy tree.
