Subject: New Display for OptiView Control Panel

Background:
Beginning from Sep.26th, 2013, the display of OptiView control panels has been upgraded.

Differences between The Old and New Displays:

The P/N of display kit remains the same as 331-01771-000. New style of display does not have
inverter board. Its connection and jumper configuration have some changes. Please see table 1.

Configuration

Attentions on Display Replacement:

1. For an early chiller, if its display is to be replaced, its inverter cable also needs to be changed at the
same time. The inverter cable is connected from J6 of micro-board to CN2 of display. Please see
figure 1.

2. For new display, the jumper position of JP4 on micro-board is different from that of old display. Please
refer to figure 2. After the new display is installed, please position the jumper of JP4 between 1 and 2.
If the jumper is improperly positioned, dark screen will occur.

3. A display kit 331-01771-000 will come with a jumper instruction label. If you separately replace the old
style of display with a new style 031-03441-000, we suggest you replacing the label into
035-15923-007 together to avoid any mistake of jumper setting in future.
