This module is designed primarily for you as Junior high school students in compliance with the
course outline in the K to 12 basic education program. It aims to develop the your essential knowledge,
skills, and attitude on Beauty Care .
This Module covers the information about Hand Spa Tools, Supplies and Equipment and at the
end of this module you are expected to:
1. Identify the hand spa tools, supplies and equipment.
2. Find alternatives/substitute tools ,supplies and equipment in Hand spa treatment.
3. Internalize the appreciation of the different values like honesty, diligence, patience,
resourcefulness, creative , independent, perseverance, obedient and compassionate towards
learning.
To achieve the objectives cited above, you need to do the following:

Lesson 1 HAND SPA TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT

A.Tools referred to as implements are durable, permanent and are hand-held

2.Pumice Stone is a type of volcanic rock,


which is actually frothy lava solidified to form
a porous rock to remove dry and annoying
skin as well as calluses.

B. Supplies/materials are the cosmetics that are consumed and replaced from time
to time. They are also called consumables.

used as sanitizer.

2.Antiseptic Solution is an agent that


reduces or prevents the multiplication of
microorganisms as sanitizer.

3.First Aid Kit is a collection of supplies for use in
giving first aid.

4. Hand Scrub is a mixture of natural ingredients


to keep hand soft, smooth and moisturized and
to remove dead skin cells.

5. Cling Wrap is a thin plastic film used for sealing


the paraffin during a hand spa.

6.Paraffin wax is a mineral wax derived from


petroleum. It is a soft wax that melts at a
temperature cool enough to safely immerse
your skin. Paraffin wax is used as a treatment
in spas and salons to lock in moisture.

Generalization
Selecting and using the appropriate Tools, supplies and equipment are mostly
