SPECIFIC HEAT (Cp and Cv)

1. For a certain ideal gas, R=25.8 ft-lbf/lbm-R and k= 1.09, a) What are the values of Cp and Cv? b) What mass
of this gas would occupy a volume of 15 ft3 at 75 psia and 80 oF? c) If 30 BTU of heat are transferred to this
gas at constant volume in (b), what are the resulting final pressure and temperature?

A. ISOMETRIC PROCESS

D. ISENTROPIC PROCESS

1. From a state defined by 300 psia, 100 ft3 and 240 oF, helium undergoes an isentropic process to 0.3 psig.

non-flow, d) work steady flow, e) heat transferred and change in entropy. Take k=1.667 for helium.
