To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Ashwini Elwin. I have had the pleasure of knowing Ashwini for almost two
years, having served as her Biotechnology 1 and 2 at ECHS. It has always been overwhelmingly clear that she is
a gifted, well rounded student. She has maintained a stellar 4.58 GPA while managing a rigorous class load on
campus and at Merced College, participating in sports and on campus clubs, as well as orchestra, throughout all
four years of high school. She has volunteered over 100 hours in her community and through the various
philanthropic organizations helped fundraise over $150K in donations. She has participated in a research program
at UC Merced.

Ashwini is an intelligent, hardworking, mature individual who has shown great focus throughout the time that I
have known her. Her retention of information and ability to organize, connect, and apply her knowledge to the
problem at hand is remarkable. She is in the top 1% of her graduating class; her work demonstrates that she takes
great pride and responsibility for her education.

Ashwini is a conscientious, confident, and kind individual. She is comfortable working both independently and
collaboratively, and has the patience and willingness to help others. She is a reliable lab partner and team
member that will contribute to an assignment. She is always prepared for labs and welcomes new ideas and
challenges. She has persevered and succeeded in Biotechnology, a two year college level, lab science class. As a
biotechnology student she has gained training in safety, basic lab and research skills that can be applied to various
fields.

Ashwini challenges herself in and out of the classroom and has received recognition for her hard work. I believe
Ashwini’s work ethic, diligence, resourcefulness and ability to take initiative will be a great asset to her and help
her realize her educational and career goals. I am confident that she will excel in any academic program she
pursues and look forward to her future accomplishments. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact
me.

Sincerely,
