Caritas Ghana, a leading humanitarian and development organization, seeks a passionate and
experienced leader with a deep commitment to Catholic Social Teaching (CST) to join our team
as Executive Director.

About Caritas Ghana:

Caritas Ghana, the charity arm of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC), is a member
of the Caritas Internationalis and Caritas Africa confederation. We focus on emergency relief,
livelihood development, health care, education and peace building.

About the Role:

The Executive Director shall be a visionary and results-oriented leader with a deep
understanding of the Ghanaian context, the development sector and Catholic Social Teaching.
You will be responsible for:

 Providing strategic leadership and direction for Caritas Ghana, setting the overall vision
and mission aligned with CST principles.

 Overseeing all operational aspects of the organization, ensuring efficient and effective
program implementation guided by CST values.

 Representing Caritas Ghana at national and international levels, building relationships

with key stakeholders.

 Resource mobilization and fundraising to secure financial sustainability for the

organization.

 Leading and motivating a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, fostering a work
environment that reflects CST principles.

 Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

 Master's degree in a relevant field, such as public administration, development

studies, social work, or business administration.
  Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior leadership positions within the non-profit or
development sector.

 Proven track record of success in leading and managing complex organizations aligned
with the Catholic Social Teaching (CST).

 Strong understanding of the Ghanaian context and the development challenges faced by
the country.

 Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

 Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.

 Fluency in English and proficiency in French is a plus.

 Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Catholic Social Teaching (CST) is

essential.

 Salary: Competitive and Negotiable
