CHAPTER V

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the findings of the study based from the

gathered data and results. Through the use of these findings, the conclusions

and recommendations are made which hold a sufficient amount of proof to be

considered effective.

SUMMARY

This study has the goal to identify The Effects of Online Shopping Sites

to the Budget Allocation of Grade 12 Students at Infant Jesus Learning

Academy of Rodriguez, Rizal S.Y 2022-2023.

This goal has been attained by making use of a questionnaire which

illustrated the perceptions of grade 12 students regarding their personal

beliefs on the effects of online shopping sites towards their budget allocation.

The questionnaire was designed in the style of a test with multiple choices, so

students may select the response they preferred. Different questions given in

the survey were made simple in order to have an easy transaction or

communication process with its respondents. Directions were stated clearly

and surveys were successfully submitted. After conducting a survey which

has been carefully examined by the expert teacher, the gathered data was

tallied and results were made clear or categorized.

In treatment of the data, the study used the methods of Frequency

Distribution, Percentage Distribution, Weighted Mean and The Likert Scale.

These methods illustrated the majority answers made by the respondents

which clarified the current effects of online shopping sites onto the specified

student group.

CONCLUSION

Based on the findings of the study, the following statements have been

concluded to answer the following questions:

1. What online shopping sites are used by Grade 12 students at Infant Jesus

Learning Academy of Rodriguez, Rizal for the school year 2022-2023?

2. What is the budget allocation of the students in terms of the following

components?

3. Is there a significant relationship between online shopping sites and budget

allocation of Grade 12 students at Infant Jesus Learning Academy of

Rodriguez, Rizal, for school year 2022-2023?

The following are the conclusions made in the study which have

sufficient amount of data to be proven true:

● Shopping sites has both positive and negative effects to students

budget allocation. It only shows that there is a balance between

shopping sites and budget allocation.

● Shopping sites helps students to improve their budgeting mindsets but

spending too much on it will result of overspending.

● It may motivate educators and administrators to implement financial

literacy and consumer education programs that address the possible

implications of internet shopping on students' budget allocation and

encourage responsible purchasing habits.

● Online shopping sites frequently use persuading advertising strategies

and offer forums for social interactions and suggestions.

● The research concluded that shopping sites helps students with their

necessary needs when they cannot find it in store like school supplies,

books etc.

RECOMMENDATION

● Since shopping sites are now the most influential on students in

terms of buying things, the researchers recommend that the

students should have the proper budgeting strategies to

maintain the proper balance on savings and investments.

● The researchers recommend that students should only visit

shopping sites when they have the ability to control themselves

into buying unnecessary things due to the fact that spending too

much money may cause poverty.

● Parents should at least be aware in noticing whether under

what situations are their children possibly affected by shopping

sites addiction, leading to buying unnecessary things. This will

help parents understand why some students claims that their

money is running out due to lack of budgeting knowledge. We

recommend parents to consider reading this study in order to

hopefully provide additional information about effects of online

shopping sites to the budget allocation of grade 12 students

and make the parenting of their own children about these,

better.
