Intro to Rhythm
The length of a note is called it’s Time Value and is shown by the shape of the
note. So far we have used only Crotchets, which is a filled in note head with a
stem. Other notes can be hollow or have tails.

In the table below, the English terms for the time values are shown first and their
widely used American equivalents are shown in brackets.
