This is to inform you that we had visited Chreat Cement on Saturday, 29th June 2019 to get an update
regarding refractories.
Kiln Line-03 plant is from SINOMA-EC which is currently running at 7000 TPD originally it was designed at
6700 TPD
 Kiln specifications are:
 Diameter is 5.2 meter,
 Length 64 meter,
 Kiln rpm is 4.1 rpm

1. We met with Mr. Haroon Rasheed Manager Production in his office Mr. Farooq asked about
ANKRAL-QC brick to Mr. Haroon which they have purchased from RHI Magnesita, he told that line-
03 started production since from December 2018 from that date plant is running continuously
without any major stoppage. He said that we have planned kiln shutdown next month, we will
replace almost 20m bricks lining according to condition of bricks lining.
2. Mr. Haroon told at line-03 as per our company CEO selection, we have installed Chinese refractory,
this refractory was not included in new line-03 contract.
3. Mr. Farooq told him we have lost the big order from Chreat cement can you tells us the reason? Mr.
Haroon told that the only reason RHI Magnesita lost order was very high price (ANKRAL Q2 1230
euro/ton), Mr. Farooq asked then to whom you placed the order, he said its Refratechnik (TOPMAG-
CF), Mr. Haroon also admitted that as per our previous experience the RHI Magnesita Refractory
performed very well but as compare to other brands the only reason is its higher price.
4. Mr. Haroon told that our kiln tires migration is normal, he added that max shell temperature range
is from 350o C to 390o C in upper transition zone area, Mr. Farooq replied that it means some part
of the bricks worn out that’s why temperature goes up.
5. They told us that we used imported and local both quality coal. The maximum Sulphur content is
1.3% but not facing any problems regarding buildups and ring formations, and stable coating area is
from 1.5m to 25m.
6. Mr. Farooq asked about the delivery time of Refratechnik bricks to Mr. Haroon, he answered
October 2019 will be the delivery time, then he asked to Mr. Farooq can you please tell me the
delivery time of RHI Magnesita, Mr. Farooq said that it take 12 months from Europe and 6 to 8
months from China.
