Pipe: Yeah, I used to play in high school. It was a lot of fun. How about you?
Sara: I've never tried (traid) it, but I've been watching some games on TV recently rēs(ə)ntlē
, and it looks exciting. (iksaiding) What do you like most about it?
Pipe: Well, I love the teamwork aspect. You really have to communicate and coordinate with your
teammates to win. Plus, the fast-paced nature of the game keeps me on my toes.
Pipe: Not really. The basic rules are easy to grasp. It's more about practicing your skills, like serving,
passing, and spiking, to become a better player.
Pipe: I was a setter. I liked being in control and setting up the perfect pass for my teammates to spike.
Sara: Sounds like an important role. Do you have any tips for someone just starting? (staring)
Pipe: Definitely! Focus on your passing skills, and practice serving. Those are crucial for beginners. And
don't forget to have fun on the court!
Sara: Thanks for the advice.(edvice) I might (mait) give (giv) it a try and join a local volleyball league.

Pipe: That's a great idea! It's a fantastic way to stay active and make new friends. Let me know if you
need any more tips or if you want to play a game sometime.
