We have practiced: introductions, talking about countries and nationalities, expressing


possession,
names of common things, spelling names and surnames, ordering for food and asking
about the price,
checking in in a hotel and asking about hotel services
Create a chain of conversations…..You can include….
1. Airport Departure - Say goodbye to a family member
• Check in: answer questions about your basic traveling information
2. Airport Arrival - Answer custom’s officer’s questions
• baggage claim: you get another person’s bag by mistake and somebody
else takes yours
• Order something at a snack bar
3. Hotel arrival - Check in: Answer questions about you and receive information about
your
booking and hotel services
4. Arrive at Office - Have a conversation in which the offices boss introduces you to
your new
office co-workers

2. Arrival at the airport: Answering questions from customs officer

Customs Officer: "Did you bring anything to declare?"

Baggage claim: Receiving someone else's luggage by mistake and someone else
taking yours
You: "Excuse me, this isn't my suitcase. I think there's been a mix-up."
Stranger: "Oh, sorry! What is the number of your suitcase?”
You: 47862 and yours?
Stranger: 92501
You: Where are you traveling to?
Stranger: French
You: Ok, this is your suitcase.

Ordering at a snack bar


You: "Hi, can I have a coffee and a sandwich, please?"

3. Arrival at the hotel - Check-in: Answering questions about yourself and

services?"
You: "Yes, could you tell me about your breakfast options and gym facilities?"
Hotel Receptionist: "Of course. We offer a complimentary continental breakfast every
morning, and our gym is open 24/7 for guests.

Hotel receptionist: Your room number is 509.
You: Thank you, say you later.
Hotel receptionist: Enjoy your stay!"

4. Arrival at the office: Having a conversation where the office manager introduces
you to your new coworkers
Office Manager: "Good morning, everyone! I'd like to introduce our newest team
member, John. John, meet your colleagues: Sarah, Mark, and Lisa."
You: "Nice to meet you all. I'm excited to be part of the team."
Sarah: "Welcome, John! We're glad to have you here."
Mark: "Yeah, make yourself at home. If you have any questions, feel free to ask."
Lisa: "Agreed. We're a friendly bunch, so don't hesitate to reach out."
You: "Thanks, everyone. I'm looking forward to working with you."
