Course Title: Society and Culture w/ Population Education

Course Code: SCSC 3243
Course Description: This course presents comprehensive view of present social conditions in
the Philippines. Covers a review of the history and discusses the culture
and societal problems of the Filipino nowadays. Integrated with this is the
study of the Philippine current population status.
Credit: 3 units
Academic Year & Semester: 2nd semester, AY 2017-2018

Course Outcome:
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:

1. Developed an understanding of basic sociological concepts

2. Generated and improved understand of the social behavior of people and other
cultures and groups
3. Applied sociological theories that have been developed to explain social
deviance
4. Described the existence of nature groups.
5. Realized how family planning and population dynamics contributes to the
improvement of individual and social life.
