The increase use of artificial intelligence has resulted to great advancement, however, these
revolutions has been associated with lots of shortcomings. There are high concerns raised
against the use of artificial intelligence (Weitzner, 2023). Ilya Sutskever has worked
diligently to come up with rapid developments in the AI industry. He has been engaged in the
development of the CatGPT which is a great model but anxieties of its safety have rocked the
world. According to Weitzner's (2023), the algorithms did not have inherent morality and it
would not replace the human decency in making key decisions. There is great bias that has
been linked to the algorithms which has also been associated with great criticism of the
artificial intelligence can result to ethical issues, in this regard, it emphasize the need for
human oversight and ethical ground in designing artificial intelligence as well as its
(Weitzner's (2022). As a result, this was evident in the internal conflicts at the OpenAI
Company. Sutskever played a critical role in firing and hiring Sam Altman. The growing
pressure on the safety and commercial needs pin point the significant ethical concerns in the
advancement of AI. The actions of Sutskever's can be seen as manifestation of his efforts to
show the real difficulties in balancing the ethical concerns with the needs of business in the
AI industry.
There is need for people to stop tinkering and concentrate on specific goals. As a
AI development should not be stopped but it the concerned parties should ensure a
responsible and ethical implementation. Davenport & Mittal (2023) argued that there is need
for strategic focus and significant solutions to the safety issues that have been raised by other
people. Furthermore, Sutskever's involvement added some difficult concerns that need
strategic thinking. In this regard, his dual stand point brought in lots of questions on the
potential biased and conflicts of interest (Weitzner, 2023). In this regard, it is important
consider the inherent tensions between the safety, ethics and commercial pressures.
Researchers, policy makers and developers should work together to ensure the importance of
