Course Description: ED 380 involves students in identifying instructional strategies through observation.
It prepares learners to be able to select appropriate strategies to meet the needs of future students.
Learners are prepared through multiple discussions about their observations, learning activities that
inspire them to attempt new strategies, and reflections on the teachings of Christ.

Course Context: The Division of Teacher Education has aligned its curriculum with the standards of the
Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (CAEP). ED 380 is also aligned with the School of
Education and Human Services Conceptual Framework and InTASC Standards

Absence Policy:
Please notify me of any planned absences prior to missing class. A planned absence does not exempt a
student from a due date/time. If your absence is unplanned, please notify me when you are able through
email. I may or may not adjust due dates for unplanned absences on a case-by-case basis.

Late work Policy:

The project heavy nature of this class makes the due dates critical. Late work will be given a 10%
deduction per day that it is late. Missing assignments will be assigned a 0% in the gradebook until they
are turned in.
