Introduction
 A slide projector is an opto-mechanical device for showing photographic
slides.
 35 mm slide projectors, direct descendants of the larger-format magic
lantern.
 first came into widespread use during the 1950s.
Definition

 A piece of equipment used for displaying photographic slides on a


screen.

 The term slide refers to a small format photographic transparency


individually mounted for one-at-a-time projection.

 occasional home entertainment
 family members and friends would gather to view picture slide shows
How slide a projector works?

 When image is very small and it is required that whole class see the
image clearly a transparent slide of a small figure is prepared.
 Slide is placed inverted into slide carrier parto of the projector.
 Slide projectors work by shinning light by speciallized photographs
called slides.
 When the light goes through the slide, it enlarge the photograps or
display image on the screen or on the wall.
 Usually a slide projectors use carousel or magzines to hold different
slides.
 When button is pushed the slides advance in consequtive fashion.
Advantage of slide projector

 Requires simple skills.


 Convinienet aid for making classroom teaching intresting.
 Small in size.
 Can be stored and also carried around by easily.
 Quite cheaper.
 A logical amd sequential order of presentation.
 Image in the screen can be held for any time interval.
Disadvantage of slide projector

 Slides can be easily disorganized.
