INSTRUCTION TO BE FOLLOWED WHILE
USING FILMSTRIPS
 Preview filmstrips before using them and selected
carefully to meet the needs of the topic to be
taught.
 Show again any part of the filmstrips needing more
specific study
 Use filmstrips to stimulate emotions , build
attitudes and to point up problems.

 It should be introduced appropriately and its relationship to the
topic of study brought out.
 After showing the filmstrips ,a follow-up discussion and
summary is necessary.
 Pupil should develop an interest in the critical viewing and
discussion of films seen . teachers and pupil should learn to
operate a film projector.
 Use a pointer to direct attention ,to specific details on the
screen

 It require simple skill to operate
 Convenient aid for making classroom teaching interesting.
 Small in size
 Commercially available
 Stored easily
 Repeated use of strips
 Provide a logical and sequential order of presentation
 Save time
 Capture attention and interest of students.
DISADVANTAGES OF FILM PROJECTOR
 Expensive
 Easily get dirty and smudged with finger prints
 Projected bulb do not stay long and are expensive to replace.
 Classroom is partially dim
 Size of rays are not standardized
 It require proper skills to handling.
