Activity #1: Let’s Create! (Performance Task)
RADIO DRAMA MAKING
Option 1: Being a scriptwriter
Act 1
(LIVELY BEATS FADE IN)
Khairo and Sean were riding their bicycles on the 3rd of January when they noticed a young woman
sitting beneath a tree, listening to music on her player and watching the leaves sway in the breeze.
(LIVELY BEATS FADE OUTS)
KHAIRO: That girl again, I think I saw her before.
SEAN: (Sound of a braking bike) Bro, what are you doing?
KHAIRO: (Shocked was evident to his voice) Bro, you scare the thing out of me.
SEAN: (Laughing) What with that face? I’m just asking what are you doing, why do you stop biking?
Narrator: Khairo catches a glimpse of the girl he saw under the coconut tree a while ago while studying Sean's
face
KHAIRO: (Disappointment was evident to his voice) Where did she go?
SEAN: (Confused Expressions) What exactly are you staring at, bro?
KHAIRO: Nothing, let’s just go. (Murmuring talking to himself) Where did she the woman go?
Khairo assumed it was all in his head, so he shook his head and proceeded to chase with Sean.
(INFOMERCIAL BACKGROUND MUSIC FADE IN)
Khairo and Sean were identical twins. While on vacation in their province, they visit some relative house. After
a day has passed, Khairo still thinks about the girl he saw earlier that day, wondering where he saw her again,
and wondering how he didn't notice he had already slept. The sun has already risen, and it is a bright and
sunny day. He decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood. While walking, he noticed the girl who was
dressed in a white floral dress, standing under the tree, watching the leaves sway once more. He decided to
walk slowly until he managed to reach in front of her. The girl slowly lifts her face and removes the earphones
she uses to listen to music. Khairro had no idea that the girl he had been seeing for days was already dead.
She died because she couldn't stand it when people mocked her every day of her existence for her unusual
appearance.
(INFORMERCIAL BACKGROUND MUSIC FADE OUT)
Clydenn Red: Hello there! Could you please tell me what your business is with me?
Khairo: (Lick his lips in nervousness) (Stuttering.) Ahm—may I know y-your n—name lady?
Clydenn Red: I’m Clydenn Red (Surprised and chuckling as she extends her hand to Khairo.) What is your
name young boy?
Khairo: (Gives a smile) Clydenn Red what a beautiful name. (Whispers)
Clydenn Red: Pardon?
Khairo: (Clears his throat and smile towards Clydenn Red) I’m Khairo. By the way. Have I met you already?
You looked familiar to me. (Asking nervously)
4|5Page
Clydenn Red: (Chuckles) Hmm, I believe I should tell you that I only met you today.
Khairo: (Smiled awkwardly.) Perhaps it's just your resemblance. Are you a local?
Clydenn Red: Yes, I am a locale here. So, how about you? Are you from around here? You don't appear to be
a native of this area.
Khairo: Yes, we are not locals. We recently paid a visit to a distant relative.
Aunt Julliana: (Joyful voice) Khairo, you appear to be having a good time in here.
Sean: He most emphatically does, Aunt Julliana. (Laughing)
Khairo: (In an irritated tone) Stop it, Sean.
While they were sitting on their patio, they were chatting about various topics. Khairo had already told Sean
about his meeting with Clydenn Red. Sean believes Khairo already has developed feelings for the woman.
Aunt Julliana: (Starring at Khairo and Sean) You should enjoy it because you'll be leaving soon. (Her voice is
filled with joy)
Ethan slowly lets go of his smile, beginning to think that they will leave soon. There will be no more
genuine discussions with Clydenn Red. While Khairo was deeply thinking, Sean placed an old album on the
coffee table in front of him and started looking through all the pages.

Sean: (With a curious tone in his voice, he asked) “Aunt, could this be me?" while pointing to the image and as
well as Khairo. But who's this young lady?
Sandro's Aunt approaches Sean after he asks her a question. Khairo also stops thinking about things
and moves closer to Sean to see what he is pointing to.
Aunt Julliana: I'm curious if you remember Clydenn Red. She's the same age as you are. When you're
younger, you're playmates. (Khairo looks at her aunt sharply) do you remember her?
(DRAMATIC INTRUMENTAL MUSIC FADE IN)
Khairo: (Whispering) I think I know who she is. (Hesitating to open his mouth to say a few words) Would this
be the Clydenn Red Aunt?
Sean: (Shocked and Trembling) Bro, the girl whom you keep talking about?
Aunt Julliana: Finally, you remember, despite the fact that I thought you had forgotten. After you left, I
assumed you would forget her. Sadly, she isn't already here.
Sandro: (His voice was full of curiosity as he questioned.) Huh? Ahh! She also currently resides in another
country. That's fine; she's already here, possibly on vacation. Would be that correct, Khairo?
Khairo: Yeah of course, I'm conversing with her in the same manner that I did with you.
Sean agreed with his twin brother by nodding his head. Their Aunt, on the other hand, had her brow
furrowed and her face was flushed with shock.
Aunt Julliana: (Her voice shook with surprise.) What do you mean she's here?
Sean: (Chastising.) Aunt, that was why Khairo is having a good time here. He acknowledged a lovely lady in
this location.
Aunt Julliana: (Terrified and Stammering) W—what are you s—s eeing? Clydenn Red had already passed
away! What exactly do you mean, seeing? She decided to take her life because she couldn't stand it when
people mocked her every day of her life for her unusual appearance a long time ago!

REINFORCEMENT ACTIVITY
Activity #2: Think and Analyze
1. How does audio in media affect one’s viewing?
 The use of audio in media helps to convey or better understand the context of the media. It further
emphasizes the media's atmosphere on how it should feel toward its audience and provides more
things that make our brain process it more. For example, when watching a movie or a television show,
you enjoy watching the scene with a background music.
2. How do you preserve your digital memories like audio files with music, lectures, and other
sound recordings?
 I save my digital memories such as audio files with music, lectures, and other sound recordings on an
SD card or hard drive and then every once in a while, upload them to my cloud storage online to ensure
the safety of my files.
3. What is the importance of sound in
(a) information and communication
Sound is important in information and communication because it can tell us about a person's
personality, location, and time. It informs and moves us in ways that visuals cannot, and because
certain combinations of sound and visuals can elicit emotions that neither can elicit on their own. It's
also potentially significant because it can influence what we see. Furthermore, sound engages
audiences and is important in both information and communication: it aids in the conveyance of
information and raises production value.
(b) entertainment; and
 The importance of sound in terms of entertainment is potent. Since it can immerse an audience in a
fantastical world while somehow helping to tell the story and move the storyline forward. It can also be
used to elicit emotion and establish the tone of a film. The sound of a film is just as important as the
visuals on screen. . When it is used correctly, language, sound effects, music, and even silence can
significantly improve the quality of your video.
6|5Page
(c) education?
 The importance of sound in education cannot be overstated. Because it engages audiences, aids in
information delivery, raises production value, elicits emotional responses, and used to indicate mood.
Sound adds emotion and helps people connect with what they're seeing. The ability to speak clearly
with high-quality audio is critical for achieving educational experiences that enable students to learn
and communicate successfully.
