RESOLUTION NO. 2024 –019

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MR. MATTHEW JOHN TAÑO, A RESIDENT OF

ZONE 5, BRGY. JIBAO-AN, PAVIA, ILOILO FOR HIS EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCE AS AN ATHLETE AND
WON SILVER MEDAL IN INDIVIDUAL CYCLING TIME TRIAL RACE (14 UNDER BOYS) IN THE BATANG
PINOY NATIONAL GAMES 2023 HELD AT TAGAYTAY CITY.

WHEREAS, the Batang Pinoy National Games is an annual multi-sport event in the Philippines specifically organized
for young Filipino athletes. It aims to provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents, compete in various sports,
and promote camaraderie and sportsmanship among participants.

WHEREAS, participants in the Batang Pinoy National Games 2023 come from different regions across the
Philippines, representing their respective provinces, cities, or municipalities.

WHEREAS, the barangay is committed to acknowledging the exemplary achievements of its residents in various
fields, including sports;

WHEREAS, MR. MATTHEW JOHN TAÑO, has demonstrated unparalleled dedication and skill in the sport of
cycling, bringing honor not only to himself but also to the Barangay and the wider community;

WHEREAS, the Barangay recognizes the importance of academic and professional achievements within the
community;

WHEREAS, that a copy of this resolution be furnished to MR. MATTHEW JOHN TAÑO as a token of recognition
and appreciation for his hard work and dedication.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Brgy. Kagawad, Arvin J. Mirador and duly seconded by SK Chairperson, Erica
May S. Cordova;

HEREBY RESOLVED, a Resolution Commending and Congratulating MR. MATTHEW JOHN TAÑO, a resident
of Zone 5, Brgy. Jibao-an, Pavia, Iloilo for his exemplary performance as an athlete and won Silver Medal in Individual Cycling
Time Trial Race (14 under boys) in the Batang Pinoy National Games 2023 held at Tagaytay City.
