Nick

The project was a bit hard at first but later on when I had the interview and I also build the website.
When the website builder was working, everything turned out fine. The communication in our group
was great, we have an app group and regularly called and also met at school sometimes. I did the
interview with the police. I learned a lot about how people think of the roads and transport in the
Netherlands, from both sides. I also learned a lot from the other group, for example: there is in some
areas a lack of choice of transport. I think the best part of how our group acted was that we all had
our stuff and went into it really fast. The things that did go a less well was that sometimes it was
hard to know if everyone had their part done, also we lost track of the project after it not being
worked on in period 3.

Our task was to interview a couple of people on what their job was, and how
satisfied they currently are with the transport infrastructure in their area, aswell as
the best form of transport for them. I myself interviewed my family and friends of
my family, and summed up all the answers.

I learned that I should act more earlier because if you procrastinate too much it
will all pile up. I also learned not to be shy when talking to strangers and also
while interviewing further more my most memorable experience was when i was
interviewing my parents.

Working together went very well, we made a group chat and we communicated
with each other a lot. The method we used was clearly dividing the tasks we had
to do between each other, and regularly checking up on each other on if we
actually did our tasks. I did not record any introduction videos of myself, because I
first wanted to know with who we were actually having contact with.

In India, the transport is a lot more dangerous and different than here in the
Netherlands. While we travel to school mostly by bike or train, they go to school
by bus or by foot. Traffic laws in India are a lot more transparent and uncontrolled
by the government, and the trains have loosened guidelines, which often results in
dangerous accidents.

In our group research my job was to interview 10 students. I also had to write a
conclusion about my research. We communicated by a groupchat, in which we
told eachother when we had finished and if there were any problems with the
research, deadlines, or conclusions. Overall I think we communicated well, because
everyone was aware of how far everyone was.

In my opinion the most memorable experience was communicating while I was in

France, because it was difficult to communicate while skiing so i had less time for
the project. I think this taught me more how to communicate when the
circumstances arent ideal.

I think what went good was the communication even though the circumstances
werent ideal and the deadlines went good aswell, because we didn’t miss any
deadlines. I think what could have gone better was the amount of words in the
conclusions and I also think that we could have asked in the interviews if they
could be specific with their answers because that would increase the quality of our
research.

I learned that in India and the Netherlands people often use a bike or ricksaw,
which are pretty similar to eachother. I also learned about parking being a
problem in India, I did not expect this would be a problem. I was also shocked
about the average price for a ricksaw, 23 rupees is about 25 eurocents.

In our group my task was to interview 5 different adults with Joep and then
summarise them. It went pretty well; I interviewed my parents and Joep did his
parents. Then i also interviewed my neighbours, it went well, but i felt that it was
pretty awkward interviewing my neighbours and I was really anxious, but it all
went well, and they were really nice. The teamwork was pretty good only some
people did more than others, and nick (the admin) kind of acted like he was the
“supreme leader” which was annoying but that is all.

My most memorable learning experience was when I interviewed my neighbours.

That was (as I said) pretty scary but in the end everything went well and I even
developed some skills like that I don’t need to be so anxious when interviewing
because usually it will end well.
What went well was that we worked very good together and helped each other
when needed. And were very supportive. And I think it was smart of Jens to
instead of actually interviewing 10 kids he sent a form in the class group chat so
that it was way easier but I think what could go better is in the interviews we could
ask for more specific answers.

I learned a lot about our partner school. For example that they have this kind of
three-wheel bike which they normally use and also that their train is very
dangerous. They also said that they need to be at school at 8 o’clock. When we
were about to call I thought it would be very formal but it was nothing like that!
They were very nice but I couldn’t hear them very well.
