Activity 2
Activity 3
Consider the situation in your School/Division—your organizational capabilities,
your level of resources (infrastructure, financial, human), level of experience in
DL, health and safety status, context and capacities of your learners and their
households, etc. Then rank the DL types—MDL, ODL, TVBI, RBI, and BL—from
easiest to most difficult to implement. Give the reasons for your ranking of each.
Replicate the following table and write your answers in your Study Notebook.
What are the general and specific purposes of the development of MELCs?
Ranking
(1 to 5, from
easiest to Type of DL Why?
hardest to
implement)
1 Modular Distance In public school where most of the learners belong to
Learning less-fortunate families and seemingly not capable of
providing the necessary tools and equipment such as
computer, smartphones, internet connections,
television, etc. in order for them to participate in
online class and other learning modalities that require
internet connection. Modular distance learning is the
best fit modality for them.
2 TV-Based Instruction DepEd has now partnered to 13 local networks where
different learning episodes will be aired nationwide.
In our area, most of the learners have the access in
watching learning episodes thru their television
without requiring them to have internet connection or
cable tv’s at home. TVBI is possible but limited to
those who have the appliances at home.
4 Online Learning Based from the data collected from the LESFs, there
were still families who have gadgets and internet
connection at home. Although limited in number and
poor connection is a problem.
5 Blended Learning When time permits and our health and safety is no
longer at risked, the school may consider the face-to-
face instruction along with the existing modular
learning. This is to provide better instructional
support, monitoring, and evaluation to the learners to
ensure that the quality of education is being delivered.
Activity 4
The LCP assures that all possible measures will be taken to ensure that no child will be excluded
from learning during the COVID-19 crisis. Think about groups of learners in your
School/Division who might require special consideration to be able to participate in DL. Describe
what targeted interventions you would develop to include them. Listed below are some examples
which may be relevant to your context. Add others as appropriate. Write down your answers in
your Study Notebook
Beginning readers
(K to 3) Make intervention by producing additional reading materials in
developing their reading skills. Provide monitoring sheets for parents/
household partners. Have an open and constant communication with the
parents/guardians.
Struggling readers Send reading materials for remediation. Provide monitoring sheets for
(Grades 4-12) parents/ household partners. Have an open and constant communication
with the parents/guardians for their progress.
No access to devices
and Internet Provide self-learning modules and other additional learning materials.
Inaccessible
(living in remote Coordinate with local LGUs or nearest barangay officials to assist the
and/or unsafe areas) teachers in delivering the self-learning modules and other additional
learning materials.
Persons with
Disabilities Assess the particular needs of these learners and provide them with the
materials that would suffice it.
Activity 2
The second component of a well-designed lesson asks teachers to select and sequence
teaching and learning activities that would help learners meet the learning objectives.
These learning tasks can be presented (1) before the lesson, (2) during the lesson proper,
and (3) after the lesson. In your Study Notebook, copy the following table:
Activity 3
In your Study Notebook, copy the components of the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) or Detailed
Lesson Plan (DLP) listed below, then highlight which part/s is/are accomplished after the
lesson is delivered.

Understanding
3. How can the teacher gather feedback on the different learning tasks, in order to
refine or modify current and future lessons?
In MDL, the only way is to retrieve the modules and additional activity
sheets/worksheets/outputs for checking. Teachers may also set up a communication
procedure with the parents/guardians for the feedbacks, comments, and suggestions.
Activity 5
Assessment is always a part of designing instruction. Read the DO 8, s2015 on
Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment to learn about assessment. In the
policy, you will find out about the two types of assessment: formative and
summative. Take note of the similarities and differences between the two. Write
your answers in a Venn diagram in your Study Notebook.
Activity 6
Which assessment methods can you adapt in DL considering the content area that
you are teaching? In your study notebook, recreate the following table and list five
methods that you would like to try. For each one, write how you plan to use it in
DL.
This example is intended for my Kindergarten Learners.
Assessment
How to Adapt the Assessment Method in DL
Method
1. Monitoring An individual monitoring plan can occur in their activities or
during Online Kamustahan. If several students are struggling with
a particular skill, the teacher can use their observations or provide
one-on-one guidance.
2. Games Games can be very informative when checking for understanding.
Students who struggle with gross motor skills may lag behind i.
Other learners might not be able to name every letter in a guessing
game. Every time, the game provides information for the teacher
moving forward.
3. Parent Keeping strong contact with parents is a great way to ensure that
Communication learning is occurring. Teachers can periodically send short surveys
or feedbacking form for parents to note progress with skills and
other developmental milestones of a child.
4. Physical Because young learners are often more physical than they are
Response verbal, physical responses are effective formative assessments.

send video don't understand might stomp. This type of assessment is

5. Written Learners work from their worksheets and other paper and pencil
Activities activities may served as assessment about the things they can do
and they cannot do yet.

parents?
Activity 4
Assume that after going through the outputs submitted by your learners, one of them
has problems completing the learning tasks for the first two weeks. Think of a possible
difficulty the learner may have encountered in accomplishing the learning tasks. Apply
what you have learned about ILMPs in Activity 3 and create an ILMP for that particular
learner who lags behind. Read and use the Individual Learning Monitoring Plan
Template. Consider the components of the ILMP that were described in Activity 3.
Reflection:
Not all students learn in the same way. This time, each of them need full guidance in
order to receive the quality education amidst pandemic. Efforts must be exerted and we
should never get tired of prioritizing the things they need to learn.
Part A
Please indicate the extent to which you agree with each of the following statements by
ticking the appropriate box. (SD = Strongly Disagree; D = Disagree; N = Neutral; A =
Agree; SA =Strongly agree)
3. My perspective on the √
topic/s covered has
changed as a result of
the LAC session.
4. I participated actively in √
the LAC session by
sharing my assignment
and insights, asking
questions, and giving
feedback on what
colleagues shared.
5. I interacted with √
different people during
the LAC session.
ACTION PLAN
Part B
Please provide the information requested.
1. I need further clarification and/or resources on the following topics:
I need further elaboration and clarification on the use of WHLP and ILMP.
3. Other comments/suggestions:
I hope to see the result or effectivity of all the tools used in this module.
