PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA)
POSITION SUMMARY
PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) is a listed company with PT Merdeka Copper Gold
Tbk (MDKA), as the controlling shareholder. MDKA owns the majority of MBMA through its
subsidiary, PT Merdeka Energi Nusantara. MBMA holds valuable assets within the strategic raw
materials and electric motor vehicle (EV) battery value chains, having completed successful
acquisitions in 2022 to advance and broaden its operations in Indonesia. With the vast growth of
electric vehicle, MBMA is committed to support the growth and is currently looking for a General
Manager Site to run the overall operations of one of the sites.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
• Develop strategies and implement a risk control system to ensure safety, health, and
protection of company assets and the work environment.
• Take proactive measures to achieve the company's safety, health, environmental, and
asset protection objectives.
• Supervise ore transportation and sales to meet specified targets efficiently.
• Organize the company structure to offer flexible and efficient operational support.
• Streamline support departments like infrastructure, HR-GA, Commercial, Logistics, IT,
and Forestry to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to manage costs effectively and drive efficient
operations.
• Work with HR to identify necessary team skills and facilitate employee development to
support operations effectively.
• Lead the operations team in executing identified strategic initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for safer operations, adherence to standards,
enhanced productivity, cost reduction, and maintaining quality outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., Mining/Metalurgical Engineering, etc.) or
master’s degree in a related field
• Over 20 years of experience, including 10 years extensive experience in mineral mining
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and
make strategic decisions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate
cross-functional teams effectively.
• Proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving
production targets while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
