I am applying at your school because I feel that I have all the necessary qualifications, qualities, and
skills to be successful.

I am a native teacher from England with a neutral accent. I have a bachelor's degree in English
Language and Linguistics, majoring in TEFL. Specialist subjects of study which directly relate to
teaching itself are: Approaches and Methods in Language Teaching, Teaching English as a Foreign
Language 1, Teaching English as a Foreign Language 2, Teaching Practice and Language Acquisition.
Moreover, I am CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and IHCYLT
(Cambridge International House Certificate in Young Learners Teaching) qualified. In addition, I have
also completed a 140hr TEFL course. I have seven years full-time teaching experience, as well as,
four years on-and-off part-time voluntary teaching experience. In addition, I have online experience
teaching Business English and IELTS.

Furthermore, I am DELTA (Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults) Module 1

qualified. This course has developed my knowledge in the following areas:

 Theoretical perspectives on language acquisition and language teaching

 Different teaching approaches and methodologies, including current developments
 Language systems and learners’ linguistic problems
 Language skills and learners’ problems
 Knowledge of resources, materials and reference sources for language learning
 Key assessment concepts and terminology

Moreover, I am also DELTA Module 3 qualified. This course develops my knowledge in the following
areas:

 Research into teaching exam classes

 Syllabus design: principles, influences on, methodological effects of, and major syllabus
types as applied to the specific learning context
 Designing syllabus and teaching programmes to meet the needs of learners in the specific
context of teaching exam classes
 Course design and development in the specific context of exam classes
 The principles and practice of testing and assessment and application to exam classes
 Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and quality of the course of study
