NATIONAL ARTS MONTH CELEBRATION ACTION PLAN

School Year 2023 – 2024

RATIONALE

February is not only the month of love but is also the month of arts as the Philippines is set to celebrate the National Arts Month. Promulgated by then
President Corazon Aquino in 1991, Presidential Proclamation No. 683 declared February of every year as National Arts. It is the month to celebrate the artistic
excellence and pay tribute to the uniqueness and diversity of the Filipino heritage and culture.

This year, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) has set the theme “ANI NG SINING, BAYANG MALIKHAIN,” aiming to encapsulate
the notion that the bountiful harvest of a Filipino creative nation is drawn from the products of human imagination, not just of individuals, but of people as
collective. A creative nation, Bayang Malikhain, embodies the idea of a Filipino society that places a high value of imagination, innovation, artistic expression
as integral components of our identity and progress. In a Bayang Malikhain, artistic endeavors are celebrated as essential contributions to the nation’s development
and cultural richness.

Hence, the San Isidro National High School will conduct a school-based celebration of the National Arts Month that will commence on March 15, 2024,
showcasing different talents and skills of SINHS learners in the field of Dance, Music, Creative Writing, and Arts.
