Brief Summary Vision :


Introducing traditional culture for high school students to raise
students’ knowledge and awareness about their own culture.

Musical goals :
Performing a musical drama of the folklore adaptation ‘Si Pitung’ by
exploring the musical genre of tradition, also composing the musical
orchestration into string quartet music.

Rational Justification of the project’s real-life relevance :


To evaluate the vision of the project, following questions will be
asked to audiences
1. Have you ever known about ‘Si Pitung’ before?
2. Did watching the musical drama make you know and
understand the folklore?
3. What if the performances in school often highlight folktales?

The nature of any collaborations :


This project involves music students and theater students; the
process includes brainstorming, composing, practice with the theater
student using piano and audio of the string, and rehearsing with the
theater student and string quartet.

The role and contributions of the student :


- Main Role :
Pianist, string quartet, and drama player : practice, rehearse,
perform, and record
- Minor Role :
Composer : Composing music of the musical drama
Communication : Contact the theater club to confirm the
timeline and material also with the director of the drama
Contact the string quartet to confirm about the scores
