UPCOMING Dear Parents and Guardians,

EVENTS
Welcome back to the second half of the term, after a well-rested weekend with the
children. It has been a busy short week with a lot happening.
23rd -24th June The Grade 4’s departed for Kariba very early on Wednesday. We are grateful to the
Rugby Festival – parents that facilitated for the children to travel to Kariba. It was a very early start for
Rydings School the learners, but you made sure they arrived on time for the departure- thank you.
(Karoi) Your efforts and contributions made the children very happy and excited. We look
forward to their return tomorrow.

24th of June The NIAA Speech and Drama Festival also started on Tuesday and is still running,
please make time to support the children, where possible- it will mean the world to
Kariba Trip
them and to us as a school. The school schedule and details are attached below.
Students Return
Owls’ Night was a wonderful platform for engagement with you and it was very
insightful to hear your concerns. Thank you to the Grade 5,6 and 7 parents who
24th of June
managed to come through- once again we appreciate your support. We are looking
Grade 1 into the concerns that you raised and working on solutions, once this process is
Assessment complete, we will send feedback to you through our SDC.

This week the school also carried out a Student Survey to give the learners an
26th – 30th of opportunity to express how they feel about their learning process. The thought behind
June this is to meet the learners where they are so that their learning environment is
General relevant to their needs.
Knowledge Week Looking ahead, Grade 1 Assessment will be taking place this Saturday- we are
looking forward to seeing new little faces and prospective parents- this will start at
9am. Grade 3’s will also be travelling to Great Zimbabwe on the 4th of July returning
on the 7th of July. Preparations are in full swing, and we look forward to an engaging
educational experience for the learners.

We look forward to your continued support as we venture into the last stretch of the
term. I wish you a pleasant weekend.

Yours sincerely,
Ms T Mushore
Deputy Headmistress
