Question: What professional development opportunities or networks can be leveraged to

continually enhance educators' proficiency in incorporating new literacies?

Not only students are capable of having or experiencing rapidly evolving technology in the
21st century, but educators as well. It is not just about the technology that makes us educators
efficient of course, it is all about the knowledge, perseverance, and passion for your work. According
to Peter F. Drucker, “We now acknowledge that learning is an ongoing activity that helps us stay
current with changes in the world. Teaching individuals on how to learn is the most important task.”
The perspective of teachers as lifelong learners embodies the belief that educators must continuously
pursue professional development in order to enhance their teaching strategies, adapt to changing
educational models, and foster an environment of lifelong learning in their community and
classroom. In the fast-paced educational environment of the 21st century, teachers are not only
knowledge providers; they are also knowledge builders and facilitators for growth. Teachers' role as
lifelong learners is crucial in influencing education throughout the years and developing the next era
of learners, critical thinkers, and problem solvers as society changes overtime. Educators who
promote ongoing career growth not only improve their own methods of instruction but also foster a
society of lifelong learning that equips students to succeed in a world that is changing all the time.

Now how can we continually enhance educators' proficiency in incorporating new literacies?
To equip students for progress in a constantly changing technological environment, teachers must
become proficient at integrating new literacies. A diverse strategy including collaborative learning
communities, continuing professional development, and sustaining resources is required to
accomplish this objective. In the first place, it is essential to give instructors access to a variety of
training options. This covers seminars, live webinars, online programs, workshops, and targeted
classes on media, knowledge, and digital literacy. By taking part in these activities, educators are
exposed to the latest methods of teaching, acquire useful information, and develop real-world
abilities that they can utilize instantly in the classroom as well.
Just like in today's generation or should I say my own experience as a future educator, we are
just digging for more knowledge for us to have more input when it comes to teaching our learners.
We are now learning the 21st century technology that is able for us to go along with our learners
today, like learning the collaborative approach and inquiry based approach. In which we make use of
it to test and exercise the critical thinking of our students as well as if they are really enjoying and
participating in every group activity that is aligned to our topic. As an educator I believe in the
saying that “Time is more precious than Gold” because it just really feels like when you rest without
doing or making use of your time to learn new things to improve your proficiency, it really feels like
guilt everytime we rest and not being productive. Furthermore, In order to achieve their role of
supporting academic growth, promoting student learning, and preparing learners for success in
school and thereafter, educators must be productive and well knowledgeable. Teachers who are
productive can improve the quality of their instruction, provide a happy atmosphere for learning,
and leave an unforgettable mark on the students they work with.
