    Dear Parent/Guardian

    It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I announce the passing of one of our educators. He
    was found deceased on our school premises on Wednesday, 6 March 2024. However, no learner
    was exposed to the incident. The Gauteng Department of Education was immediately informed of the
    incident. GDE has deployed social services to offer wellness counselling to our staff members and
    some learners. Added to this, we have not had water from yesterday in the late evening.

    Kindly note the following:

    • All Extra Curricular Activities have been cancelled until further notice.
    • The School SGB elections scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed until further
    notice. A new date will be communicated.
    • School will resume as normal from tomorrow; Thursday, 7 March 2024 and will have a repeat
    Day 7 on the school timetable. The GDE will also be available on site tomorrow to offer
    counselling to learners.
    • The Cycle Test scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to Friday. Please note that due to
    these arrangements, school will end at 14h05 tomorrow and 14h20 on Friday. Kindly
    ensure transport is arranged accordingly.
    • The Dance Show scheduled for this weekend has also been postponed until further notice.
    • We are aware that we may also experience water cuts tomorrow, and should this happen, then
    we will release our learners at 10h00, otherwise school will proceed as normal.

    Thank you for your understanding and due consideration for the time you have given us to
    process all of this.
