JAZZ CHANT PRESENTATION GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS

Qualifications: Bona fide college students for the school year 2023-2024 are qualified to join the
competition.

1. The Jazz Chant Presentation serves as avenue for students to showcase their excellence in
creating and delivering chants in the whole NDSC family.
2. The chant will be participated by all programs. All enrolled students coming from specific
program must participate in the said presentation.
3. Each program will be given a maximum of three (3) minutes to present. For every increment of
one (1) minute of overtime, one point will be deducted from the group’s overall score.
4. The participants will present a yell or chat that showcases their programs.
5. The use of whistle, body props, and musical instruments are allowed. No deduction shall be made
if the participants opt not to have such.
6. Jazz chant presented must not touch on any sensitive issues on race, religion, ideologies, or
person. Profanity and other inappropriate words are strictly prohibited.
7. The organizers have the right to disqualify any group which does not comply in any of the contest
guidelines and mechanics set by the organizers, and/or deduct corresponding points in every
violation.
8. The participants must always observe decency.
9. During the presentation, the participants are obliged to adhere the IATF health protocols to avoid
negative outcomes.
10. Winner/s will receive a certificate of recognition.
11. Adjudicators’ decision is final and irrevocable.

Synchronization & Stage Presence-10%
Originality- 10%
Total – 100%
