REV. FR. PERSIUZ JOSEPH M. DECENA, OAR

Vice President for Identity, Formation and Mission
University of San Jose-Recoletos

Thru: REV. FR. GLYNN C. ORTEGA, OAR

Director, Student Affairs and Services
University of San Jose-Recoletos

Dear Rev. Fr. Decena:

Greetings of Peace and Love!

The Josenian Junior Diplomats (JJD), the official co-curricular organization of the Bachelor of
Arts in International Studies (ABIS), te, would like to extend its gratitude to the administration
and recognize its endless support for the International Studies community in the university.

It is an annual tradition for the Josenian Junior Diplomats to conduct a Team Building event
for its student body. This academic year 2023 - 2024, the JJD hopes to continue promoting
camaraderie and cooperation among its students and highlighting the organization’s values of
diplomacy, loyalty, and cooperation.

The body has decided to implement the INTERNATIONAL STUDIES TEAM BUILDING 2023
on September 30, 2023 (Saturday) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at D' Family Park in Nasipit,
Talamban, Cebu City. The officers convened, deliberated, and decided it was the appropriate
and safe venue as the IS population does not exceed 80 people, and it has the ample open
space needed to conduct outdoor activities. The mentioned date was agreed upon by the
officers as a way of destressing from the Prelim Exams held prior and as a way of building
rapport with the student body.
For further information on the activity, attached is the Project Proposal which includes
the rationale, objectives, program flow, safety precautions, and all the necessary details
needed for the activity. In this connection, we humbly ask for your permission and approval to
allow us to conduct the activity on September 30, 2023, for the body to process its documents.
These include but are not limited to, reservations and permits for the Property Administration's
Office, Student Activity Office, and the Safety and Security Department as soon as possible.
Also attached to this letter is the official list of the entire International Studies student
body (with a total population of 73) who are enjoined to participate in this event.

Accordingly, we are asking for the consideration of the advisers and subject teachers in allowing
the students to be excused from their respective classes. Rest assured, the organization will
comply with the university's rules and regulations. Moreover, the advisers will be present to
supervise, and the JJD officers will closely monitor the entirety of the activity to ensure that
school policies are followed.

We are eager to hear your positive response in this endeavor. Thank you and God Bless.

Respectfully yours,

Hon. Noesha Leigh C. Quiambao Hon. Ethan Joseph A. Bacatan
