Introduction:

METEOROLOGY – 2 BSMT 3A10 (S/Y OF 2023 – 2024)

“Good afternoon, everyone, my dear classmates. We are the 1st group that will present for the
Week 5 of the Meteorology 2 subject this first semester of school year 2023-2024, I am
midshipman Christian Alacar, together with midshipmen Agpoon, Calunod, Delloro, Enciso,
and midshipwoman Evangelista and join us as we will be presenting and discuss to you about
the Humidity and Condensation.”

Purpose of the Report:

The purpose of the report I’ve discussed is to let the students be able to understand what
Humidity and Condensation is about, hence why I have enunciated to them our lesson by
presenting our slideshow during our class. I’ve discussed to them some parts of the 5.1 topic
which were about: Humidity, Types of Humidity, Effects of Humidity in Weather, and the
Condensation. The lesson we have discussed serves its purpose as it is significant should be the
students aim to be Marine Deck Officers in the future, being knowledgeable in the Maritime
Meteorological Context will be sufficient for their career.

Outline of Presentation:

We’ve outlined the presentation according in its order from 5.1 to 5.2 of our week 5 topics.
And I have discussed specifically the topic about:
Humidity
Types of Humidity
Effects of Humidity in Weather
Condensation

Program Outcomes:

The program outcomes in the context of humidity would typically encompass a comprehensive
understanding of humidity and its various aspects. Firstly, students would be expected to grasp
the concept of humidity, including its measurement and different types, such as relative humidity,
absolute humidity, and specific humidity. Secondly, they should be able to articulate the effects of
humidity on weather, highlighting its role in influencing precipitation, cloud formation, and overall
climatic conditions. Finally, an understanding of condensation, which is a direct consequence of
high humidity levels, is crucial for students to comprehend the processes that lead to cloud and
fog formation. These outcomes collectively enable a deeper insight into the relationship between
humidity and weather patterns.
Mapping of Activities:

In my presentation on humidity-related topics, I aligned each activity with the relevant program
outcome by incorporating interactive demonstrations and discussions about measuring humidity
levels, its impact on weather forecasting, and practical examples of condensation, thus ensuring a
comprehensive exploration of the subject matter while meeting the course objectives effectively.
Practical Training and Internships:

In my practical learning experiences, I conducted hands-on experiments to measure humidity

levels, explore various types of humidity, and understand its impact on weather patterns. These
experiences significantly contributed to achieving program outcomes by providing a deeper
understanding of the factors influencing weather conditions, particularly how changes in humidity
can lead to phenomena like condensation, which is vital in meteorological studies.

Quiz and Assignments:

To assess the effectiveness of my presentation on humidity and its relevance to the program
outcomes, I utilized one significant assessments. I conducted a pre- and post-presentation quiz to
gauge the participants' knowledge levels before and after the session. This assessment
highlighted the improvement in their understanding of humidity types, its effects on weather, and
condensation.

Assessment of Learning Outcomes:

I believe I have achieved the program outcomes effectively during my presentation on humidity.
One key outcome was enhancing the audience's understanding of humidity types, and this was
demonstrated by the numerous questions and active participation from the audience during and
after the presentation. Another outcome was to convey the effects of humidity on weather, which I
accomplished by using real-world examples and visual aids to help the audience grasp these
complex concepts. The positive feedback received from the participants, as well as their
increased knowledge and engagement, serves as evidence of the successful achievement of the
program outcomes.

Areas for Improvement:

While the presentation on humidity was generally well-received, there is room for improvement in
a few program outcomes. One area for enhancement is audience engagement, as some
participants might have found the material complex. To address this, I plan to incorporate more
interactive elements, like quizzes or discussions, to keep the audience actively involved and
ensure better retention of the information. Additionally, I will seek feedback from the audience to
identify specific areas of improvement, allowing me to tailor future presentations to their needs
and preferences.

Development Activities:

In preparing for my presentation on humidity, I conducted thorough research on the topic,

gathering data and information about the various types of humidity, their effects on weather, and
the process of condensation. This research laid the foundation for a comprehensive
understanding of the subject matter, enabling me to confidently address each aspect during the
presentation. Additionally, I created engaging visual aids and examples to help the audience
grasp these concepts, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the program and ensuring that the
key outcomes, such as improved knowledge of humidity and its impact on weather, were
achieved.

Conclusion:

The report discussed four key topics related to humidity: its types, effects on weather, and
condensation. It emphasized the importance of aligning activities with program outcomes to
ensure that educational efforts effectively convey this information, as understanding humidity and
its effects on weather is crucial in meteorology and various scientific disciplines.
Questions and Discussion:

“With any clarifications with our group’s topic presentation, we are ready to cater your questions
with answers related to the topic we have discussed which was about the Humidity and
Condensation.”

Closing Remarks:

I concluded the presentation by expressing gratitude to my classmates and the instructor for their
attention and valuable feedback, which greatly enriched the learning experience.
