WEEKLY INTERSHIP REPORT

(Week 4: from 02/08/2021 to 08/08/2021)

1. Target of the week


- Be competent in making shippings documents for Samsung’s cargo with and
without batteries and dangerous cargo. Handle a part of workload of the team.
- Learn to make shipping documents for consolidation service to MAO. Be
competent in making shipping document for shipment of the consolidation
service to Viracopos, Brazil.
- Can handle by myself what assigned. Remember the process in details without
mechanically relying on the training file or notebook.
- Be patient and careful when making shipping documents.
- Update the flight schedule to BUE.
2. Weekly intership report for week 2

Day Task and description


Day 1:
Daily tracking for flights with cargo to BUE. Booking 7 HAWB.
Monday
(02/08/2021)
Day 2: Making shipping documents for the Samsung’s cargo without
Tuesday batteries to MAO, airline CX. Booking 11 HAWB. Receiving the
(03/08/2021) suggestions from the instructor about being more focused and
agile at work. Due to the huge workload of the team, besides
training, every member of the team must complete their assigned
work, if during the process, I kept asking, it would interrupt

Day 3: Collecting the documents requỉed and making shipping
Wednesday documents for consolidated cargo to VCP directly from the step
(04/08/2021) of sending the plan and sending the notice to the making-cargo
team, checking the stamps, checking the weight and dimension of
each package, loading progress, completing the system,
confirming the system, sending the final HBL to the vendors and
sending notice to KGL MIA. Booking 12 HAWB. Daily tracking
for flights with cargo to BUE
Day 4: Making shipping documents for DG goods delivered to PTY.
Thursday Collecting the documents requỉed and making shipping
(05/08/2021) documents for consolidated cargo to MAO forwarding MIA,
airline OZ. Booking HAWB. During the process, I figured out
that I had made a mistake in the step of entering the Invoice
number, the system was quickly corrected and new booking
confirm was sent to the shipper. Daily tracking for flights with

Day 5: Friday Making shipping documents for shipment of the goods with and
(06/08/2021) withou batteried to MAO at the same time. Making shipping
documents for shipment of the dangerous goods delivered to
PTY. Collecting documents required for the consolidated
shipment to VCP direct. With the EXW shipments, you have to
call for the transportation from the shipper’s plant to the our
warehouse as well as open the custom documents because you act
as a buyer. Booking 5 HAWB. Daily tracking for flights with
cargo to BUE.

3. Personnal evaluation

Due to the impact of the epidemic, the company has given a notice to allow all staffs to
work from home to avoid crowded gathering in the office. Because of some personal
reasons, I asked the company for permission to work from home the whole week.
After a week of working from home, I had some conclusions about working from
home as follows. In terms of advantages, working from home creates comfortable
conditions for everyone in terms of time and space, people can freely arrange their
time and work with the condition that the progress schedule is guaranteed. Besides the
above advantages, WFH also has some disadvantages: firstly, according to the
company regime, working from home will not be counted as overtime working
because the company calculates overtime based on the time recorded in timekeeper;
secondly, some employees feedback that due to family conditions (small children,
unstable network quality), work was often interrupted; thirdly, working from home
makes all work required to be made on the laptop’s screen without a printer, so all
checking and reconciliation procedures are made on a laptop, which requires staffs to
be more focused on the screen. Personally, I am also affected by the work-from-home
regime because I can't receive direct instruction from the instructor, so learning new
content is greatly affected. However, during the past week, I have been able to practice
and complete the paperwork by myself, in the process, I have drawn for myself a lot of
notes that if not directly implemented, through the mistakes and the checking and
prompting of the instructor I would never know.

In the 4th week of the internship period, although the speed of work and completion of
work was still slow, however, I was noted to have made progress in my work. I have
learnt more about the shipping process and had for myself special notes in details for
each type of item, each destination, each shipper or each airline. These insights are
only drawn from the direct practice and cannot be learned theoretically through
training instruction. Receiving the advice of the instructor also helped me realize that I
need to try to learn more and be proactive in my work to help people. Although in the
following days, I was assigned a larger workload that required me to find information
on my own, based on information on previous similar shipments to complete the
assigned work, but this has directly enhanced my capacity so much.
