WEEKLY INTERSHIP REPORT

(Week 3: from 26/07/2021 to 01/08/2021)

1. Target of the week


- Practice what have leant, be more precise
- Learn to make shipping documents for consolidation service to MAO. Practice
shipment for the consolidation service to Viracopos.
- Can handle by myself what assigned. Remember the proces in details.
- Be patient and careful when making shipping documents.
2. Weekly intership report for week 2

Day Task and description


Day 1:
More involve in the work of the team. Understand clearly what to

do to support other team members. I can observe and see which

MAWB will be closed in that day and when to start making the
shipping document. Booking HAWB and MAWB and sending
shipping advices to vendors as soon as possible but still correct.
Day 2: This is my first day to have a night shift to closing the vendor’s
Tuesday order. During the shift, I learnt and practiced closing orders for
(27/07/2021) the cargo sent to VCP directly under the guidance from the step
of sending the closing order to sending the final HAWB. This
type of shipment has no permission for the mistake because it
goes directly to the final destination, which is Viracopos, once
you make mistake, the whole cargo will be sent to the wrong
destination and it will cost a lot of money for that small mistakes.
Day 3: According to the policy of the company, when I have a night shift
Wednesday on the previous day, I can have 1 morning off. In the afternoon, I
(28/07/2021) came to the office and was in charge of booking HAWB for the
team.
Day 4: Finish the order with “dangerous” sign went to PTY (Panama)
Thursday forwarding MIA. Send the notice of closing a shipment of
(29/07/2021) vendor’s cargo to VCP. Book HAWB. During the process, I had
made the wrong booking of 1 cargo, this lead to the result that the
warehouse refuse to receive the vendor's goods. From this
experience, I need to pay more attention to check the invoice
number before booking. The duplicated HAWB had the same
warehouse code so it only required to be re-operated to fix the
error. In other cases, the warehouse codes are different and goods
will be kept to not release and many long-lasting consequences,
including manufacturing process of Samsung and money of the
company.
Day 5: Friday Be fully in charge of the booking MAWB and HAWB for the
(30/07/2021) team.
Day 6: Make a full set of shipping documents for the Samsung’s cargo to
Saturday MAO (without battery). Make a full set of shipping documents
(31/07/2021) including cargos to different destination (Panama and Bueno
Ares, Argentina).

3. Personnal evaluation

Although I can handle by myself a full shipping documents, I still made some mistakes
such as booking 2 HAWB for the same cargo which can lead to the result that the
cargo can be hold in the warehouse and can not release in time. Moreover, I still can
not focus fully in every point that require to be exactly the same. Eventhough all the
mistakes have already been fixed by my team member, the work was still distracted
for a short period of time and made it ineffective. In addition, I still can not catch up
with the speed of work of the whole team. It certainly would take me a few more
couple week to catch up with the speed of the team, get acquainted with the workload
and require me to be more hard-working in the future.
The COVID-19 is increasing dramatically in Hanoi, where our office located, so the
boss allows us to work from home to reduce the number of staffs working in the office
and gives us the high-quality mask to protect our health. Due to the nature of the work
which is import-export business, the company is allowed to have some staffs working
in the office with the travel paper with the red stamp and signature of the vice
president. This affects my learning a lot, however, with the sincere support from the
other members of the team, my work goes better.
