BULLETIN NO. 1, S. 2020

May 19, 2020

Dearest parents and guardians,

We welcome you this Academic Year 2020-2021!

Our appreciation in your participation in the Parents Survey for Academic Year 2020 – 2021.
Your responses had been beneficial in providing us with the overview of the challenges all of us will
be facing. Hence, in preparation for the start of the Academic Year, we wish to update everyone
that we shall be adopting the following learning platforms for the incoming Academic Year:

1.) Pure Online Distance Learning – Lessons, activities and interaction with the teacher are
all online using Viber, Zoom, Google Classroom and etc. at specific times of the week.
Students shall not be required to be physically present in SVMA.
2.) Modular Learning – Due to lack of internet / data connectivity, lessons and activities are
picked up and dropped off at SVMA or via delivery by the school service. These are
independently done at home by the student(s).
3.) Homeschooling – Parents / Guardians shall teach their own child/ren with very minimal
guidance from the teacher. The finished requirements must be submitted at SVMA on /
before the set due date. The curricula shall be provided by SVMA.
4.) Hybrid Class - The class is divided into two groups, each group having face – to – face
classroom instruction with the teachers on alternate days twice a week on shortened
period and doing online / home activities on the remaining days.
5.) Residential - The 5-school day attendance wherein students must be physically present in
SVMA to attend classes. However, this shall only be implemented upon the mandate of
the government agencies including the DepEd.

After choosing your preference from the learning platforms aforementioned and you feel
that another one suits you and your family better, you may transfer to another platform. However,
please submit a written request directly at the Business Office two weeks prior so we may make
proper arrangements.

May we reiterate that the residential platform shall only be implemented once permission to
do so is provided by the IATF and the DepEd. Despite its offering in the future, other learning
platforms (see numbers 1 – 4) are still available and you may continue on utilizing them. In
addition; regardless of the health situation we are now in, SVMA had been implementing the limited
class size since our inception. Hence, the 15-20 class ratio is still within the acceptable range in the
guidelines earlier provided; however, we had decided to roll out the hybrid classes to protect the
safety and welfare of everyone in SVMA.
