Club Couture: Fashion Runway

Theme: Sustainability in Fashion

Objectives: Aims to advocate and spread awareness about sustainable clothing and to teach
the value of resiliency and resourcefulness.

Description: A runway event that gives opportunity for clubs to compete in a battle of creativity
through fashion. This event encourages the participants to exhibit their creative skills and talents
all while encouraging spreading environmental awareness. Participants will be given an
assigned theme through a ballot that their outfits must follow. They will have limited time to
prepare their outfits and strut them on the runway. Students must use reused, recycled, or
repaired clothing such as 2nd hand clothing from ukay-ukay or other items which will be
provided.

Participants: Club members

Rules and Mechanics:

● There will be a maximum of 6 designers from each club or organization.

● 2 models (1 male and 1 female) will have to present or model the creations.
● Prior to the contest, the participants will first choose the theme their outfits must follow
through a random ballot.
● All outfits or creations must be made on the spot within the given time using the
materials given.
● All outfits or pieces must be recycled, reused, or repaired.
● Contestants must only use the reused, recycled, or repaired clothing and materials
prepared.
● Designers must bring their own sewing kit and other materials that they will use to make
their creations.
● Participants are permitted to bring their own jewelry and other accessories.
● Participants will have 6 hours to complete their creations.
● All outfits must still be decent and appropriate.

Overall Appearance —- 30pts

Creativity —- 25pts

Materials used —- 25pts

Originality —- 10pts

Presentation —- 10pts

Total: 100 points
