Ingredients

ice

50ml tequila reposado

25ml lime juice

20ml triple sec

For the garnish

salt

2 lime wedges

Method
STEP 1
Sprinkle a few teaspoons of salt over the surface
of a small plate or saucer. Rub one wedge of lime
along the rim of a tumbler and then dip it into the
salt so that the entire rim is covered.

STEP 2
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add the tequila,
lime juice and triple sec. Shake until the outside of
the shaker feels cold.

STEP 3
Strain the mix into the prepared glass over fresh
ice. Serve with a wedge of lime.

Our favourite go-to drink other than dry white

wine. I need to keep the measuring cup handy, as
well as the citrus squeezer, but takes no time to
make. Nice if you are not into sweet cocktails, and
in these Covid times also gives you a great dose of
vitamin C, as well as some tequila to blast out…

Really good! I added a little more lime juice. Had to

measure using an old Night Nurse medicine mea-
sure as had lost our cocktail measuring cup, so
glad it was so easy.

My favourite cocktail. Followed this recipe exactly

(including using contreau) and this tastes exactly
like how it does from a bar!
