CIPTA AKADEMI

INVITATION TO JOIN PART 3 STUDY GROUP

To the graduate architects.

Do you want to pass your Part 3 in one sitting?

To the bosses.

Surely, you know that the best way to reward your hard-
working graduate architects is by paying for their Part 3
training.
Invitation is now open to aspiring cadidates of LAM Part 3 Professional Licensure Examination to join a
small, dedicated group with the common aim of enhancing professional knowledge and passing the Part
3 Examination.

The program was designed to enable candidates to understand the broad requirement of the
examination syllabus, its challenges and situational complexity and enable them to offer solutions rather
than simply answering the question.

This training course is in the process of obtaining approval from Human Resources Development
Corporation as a HRDC Claimable Course. Why HRDC?

Do you know that you can pay for a Part 3 Training

without actually spending any money?
HRDC approval shall entitle the candidate to pay for the course using HRDC Levy paid by their employer,
subject to the employer being a levy paying organisation and the employer aggreeing to pay for the
course. This arrangement is made as a way an employer could reward their architects by reducing their
financial burden. Afterall, training them for Part III will make them better architect. So, if your firm has
more than 10 staffs, in all likelihood you can get your boss to pay for you.

Course Fee: RM 3,000.00

Each cohort will be limited to 30 person.

Period of Study: April 2024 until October 2024 (or until the end of examination) in 16 courses.

Candidates that are not successful, will be allowed to rejoin the following cohorts until they pass.

HRDC Claimable Training Course

Since 2021, the architecture services were included in the HRDC Act and practices with 10 employees, or
more are required to pay a levy calculated at 1% of the monthly salary. This money is kept by HRDC for
use by the contributing company to train their employees. Use of this levy money is limited to training
programs offered by HRDC Registered Training Providers (TP). Training Providers in this field, like us at
CA, designed their courses and submitted for HRDC approval. Architecture practices or companies (ACP)
may approach TP with readily available courses or discuss with them a customised training program. CA
will also assist the ACPs in checking the eligibility, available funds, and processes to claim the money.

Encouraging ACPs to invest in future architects.

Graduate architects may check if their employers are registered with HRDC. If the employees are 10 or
more, it was already compulsory for them to do so. Presently, many levy paying employers are unaware
of how to claim the money. Without a claim within certain time the money would be appropriated by
HRDC. Employer should not let this money go to waste and the best way to use is to show appreciation
to their graduate architects by paying for their Part 3 Courses like the one CA is offering. Maybe there
are other Part 3 training courses provided by other trainers, and you may check if their courses are
HRDC registered or not.

Undeniably, some architects or practices are apprehensive of their graduate architects passing Part 3. It
may mean that they would be saying goodbye, becoming a competitor or worse steals their clients. On a
more positive note, however, many would be happy to guide and encourage their young architects to
journey upward. All the presently practicing architects were all once a struggling graduate. Did we not
then wish if only our bosses pay for our Part III. Some did. To them we were immensely grateful. Paying
for such training courses is a genuine contribution not only to a person but to the architectural practice
as a whole. Afterall, that money was already paid and would be left to waste if not used.
